Senior Developer

Senior Software Developer – Granville Island, Vancouver

Job Description

We have a full-time senior developer position open to be filled in our Vancouver office located on Granville Island.

We are a very secure and quickly growing learning management systems development company. Although the principals have been working in the eLearning field for over 15 years, our company is three years old and is focused on software infrastructure for industrial training (with an initial focus on the maritime industry). Our client list is growing and includes well known customers in Canada, United States and Europe. It is fantastic to be part of a growing company – lots of exciting things happening all the time!

Although sometimes we work hard, we have a great respect for work/life balance. In my humble opinion, this is a great place to work with very friendly people, great customers, and a fun challenges. Oh – and word on the street is that the boss is a terrific guy, if I do say so myself :-)

 What we are looking for:

  • Someone intelligent, efficient, energetic, detail oriented, and well organized
  • There are no jerks in the office and we plan to keep it that way – so having a friendly attitude and a positive outlook are a must!
  • Clear spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Must be able to write elegant code
  • Someone able to start the job at our office ASAP and get up to speed quickly

Education and experience needed:

  • A 4-year university computer science degree is a must (a masters is even better)
  • 5+ years of experience with C#, MS SQL, WCF, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
  • Experience with MVC 4+, Angular.js, Entity Framework and Castle/Windsor are desirable

Pay will be negotiated, but in the range appropriate to senior positions. There is also a stock option plan (and you’ll be getting in early), so our company’s success becomes your personal success.

We plan to hire the first person who we think are a great fit.
If you are interested, please apply below to the contact email with your resume and cover letter, and include the job title in the email subject line. Please include any additional information about you that you believe will make us think you are the perfect addition to our team!

Only candidates located (or soon to be located) in the Metro Vancouver Lower Mainland area will be considered. No phone calls please, and no e-mails to other addresses.

Can’t wait to meet you!
